Let's join our balloonist extraordinaire, Peggy Watson-Meinke, for a fun balloon event happening at Santa Paula Airport (SZP) on August 22nd and 23rd!

The Southern California Balloon Association (SCBA) is planning a hot air balloon flight event with at least 8 balloons scheduled to attend. It should be a beautiful sight! The balloons will launch from the runway in front of the new airport restaurant (The Flying Spoon), making it a great opportunity to enjoy breakfast while watching the balloons prepare and take flight.

Here is the plan for both days:
5:30 AM – Pilots begin lining up on the runway.
6:00 AM – Pilot briefing on the SZP runway. Balloon setup begins immediately afterward.
7:00 AM – Balloon launch.
8:00 AM – Balloons return, followed by a tailgate gathering at the airport.
